Raja is a wealthy land owner in several large cities and he runs many gambling rings behind the city guard's backs. His estates are nothing but elegance, however the sections of cities he runs are deep in poverty are no more than slums. The first thing of Raja when one sees him is the two bumbling half-orc men he keeps as well armed bodyguards. This only came about after a large sum of money was put on his head by an angry gambler who went to the Black Hand.

Mysty gained her name after some very drunken nights and drunken knights. Some things about her most don't want to know, and those that do tend to cringe a bit. For those friendly to Mysty however, she's a lovable and energetic storyteller who enjoys a good fiddling dance now and again. To those unfriendly to her, she's a sickening loud-mouthed trickster who knows her sword and spells all too well.

Not usually noticeable as a wizard right off, Perth is normally mistaken for any other merchant in the city. While most wizards are gaunt or lanky, Perth retains the hardy meals which he prefers on a daily basis well. Over several years of reading, Perth now requires some sort of light spectacles to help him see, a common side-effect of many solitary hours spent in dim lighting reading tomes.
Perth holds his magic dear to him, as well as street smarts. Unlike most moderate wizards, his outlook on life changed when circumstances that brought him to Varisia took his entire life for a crazy spin. After his first few days in Sandpoint, peddling scrolls to the docks people, his business venture wasn't going well at all. Years later he has become very successful and isn't afraid to show it.

Cobb is one of those inquisitors you don't want to see around. Should he be around for a few minutes, you get the feeling that he wants something that you don't want to be a part of. He's made a name for himself in ruthless man-hunts against heretics and the mercenary tactics he's used in returning people on the run. Cobb usually works alone, however if he's not alone, that other person is just a target and hasn't seen the law and medieval justice at the end of his blade yet.

Younger brother to Inquisitor Cobbriello Burke, Oliver Burke has taken a solid hold on many town operations in the justice system and has been working within it for over 10 years now. Unlike Cobb however, Oliver tends to stay in people's good graces. He does however assign his older brother Cobb to recover flight risk citizens should they run from the strict laws. The brotherly duo has upheld several years of strict but safe townships under their jurisdiction.

Formerly a Halfling riding dog, Rufus was so loyal to his owner that he followed him to his grave. After his owner was given high honors, the dog was entombed along side the knighted halfling owner as an honor of his own. However, being a dog and feeling his duty was never fully finished, Rufus continues to serve even in the afterlife as a strange side effect to the burial rituals which are normally reserved for people.

Samaritha came to Riddleport several weeks ago, intrigued by the Cyphergate Riddle and harboring hopes of becoming a full-fledged cyphermage. Samaritha doesn't really enjoy the prospect of “adventuring” (she’s got an aversion to filth and something of a fear of blood).
